ERIE COUNTY, NY (WIVB) – Mother Nature may have taken her time this season, but it finally looks and feels like winter across Western New York. With all the snow and cold we’ve seen this week, many winter activities are now in full swing. On the eve of a three-day weekend for the kids, a few people were out sledding at Chestnut Ridge Park.
You can bet a lot more will be taking advantage of it this weekend. There’s so much to down at our local parks, from sledding and snowboarding, to cross country skiing and snow-shoeing. Even some out-of-towners got in on the fun, including one couple who lives in North Carolina, in town visiting family. They were happy to see snow after getting here nearly two weeks ago.
If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, but don’t feel like visiting the more popular areas, check out all the winter activities happening in our local parks, where you can find something for the whole family.
