Store clerk shot during West Side armed robbery

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo Police say a store clerk was struck by gunfire during an armed robbery at the corner of Virginia Street and Whitney Place early Thursday morning.

The robbery occurred around 2:30 a.m. at United Food & Grocery.

Police say the suspect(s) left the store with an unknown amount of money. The store clerk who was shot was taken to ECMC with non-life threatening injuries.
