Police bust local trainer for alleged steroid possession

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) — Local police worked together to take illegal steroids off the street on Friday.

New York State Police say they worked with Homeland Security, United States Postal Inspectors and Amherst Police to search local Catalano Personal Training in Williamsville.

Police say they caught wind of the shipment and receiving of steroids with the help of the USPS, and raided the Maple Road business, owned by Michael T. Catalano.

Police arrested 50-year-old Catalano after the raid. Officers say they found a shipment of steroids in the building. Catalano faces charges of seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance for steroid possession.

As the investigation is ongoing, police say anybody with information on illegal steroids at that gym is asked to call (716) 851-2317.
