BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- Broadway Joe’s on Main street was closed down Friday night.
During a concert the city issued a cease and desist because Broadway Joe’s was operating with expired city licenses.
A concert goer tells News 4 no ticket refunds have been offered yet. The Bunny, The Bear was the group set to perform and posted a message on Facebook for their fans Saturday.
“Last nights show in Buffalo had some extremely unexpected issues. For some unknown reason the venue did not have an valid operators license. Police came and shut down the show not long after starting. While obviously something out of our control were still extremely sorry that we didn’t get the chance to perform. I’m sure all of the bands were really looking forward to hitting the stage. A big thank you to all of you who showed up and supported! We love you and couldn’t appreciate it more!!!!”
Broadway Joe’s posted on their Facebook page that they plan to reopen Thursday for their next event. Their post is below.
“Our apologies for what transpired, but to clear up any confusion we are NOT closing! Permit issues were addressed Friday and will be resolved this Tuesday to allow normal operations to continue on Thursday for our next event Can’t wait to see you all at the next show!”
