Car forced into home gas line during East Side crash

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — People living at a home on Colorado Avenue had a visit from National Fuel to fix their gas meter after a crash Tuesday morning.

A woman driving a red car crashed into another car that was parked in a driveway, forcing the vehicle into a gas meter on the side of the house. The crash happened around 1:30 a.m.

Neighbors say they heard a loud bang and smelled gas as soon as they stepped outside.

No one was hurt and it is not known if charges have been filed against the driver. She was taken from the scene by Buffalo Police and the red car was towed. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
