Larkinville isn’t just for summer fun

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Larkvinville is known for its summer events like Food Truck Tuesdays, but this weekend they are giving some of their warm weather activities a winter twist. Larkinville Ice Festival is Saturday. Your family can enjoy indoor and outdoor activities, including crafts, sledding, live music, and snowga (yoga in the snow).

This is the second year for the event. This year it will take place in locations throughout the growing neighborhood around the Larkin building, including the Flying Bison Brewery.

“We’ll probably have a couple thousand people,” said Director of Fun Leslie Zemsky. “Instead of all being in Larkin Square, it will really be spread out throughout the street, over to Uncle Sam’s Army Navy, they have some great programming planned, so a whole Seneca Street festive environment.”

The ice festival runs from 11am to 3pm Saturday. Parking and admission are free. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
