Suspect in custody after Jamestown shooting that injured 10-year-old

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) — Jamestown Police say they have a suspect in custody after a January 25 shooting that injured a 10-year-old.

The shooting occurred on E. 2nd Street around 9:20 p.m. Multiple shots were fired and the child was hit inside a residence, according to authorities.

The victim was first taken to Women and Children’s Hospital before being transferred to Buffalo Children’s Hospital.

Police have not yet released the name of the suspect. What is known is that the suspect is in custody on charges unrelated to the shooting.
