WIVB-News 4 in Buffalo is looking for an experienced Meteorologist. The ideal candidate can produce and deliver compelling, accurate forecasts for broadcast television and our multiple digital and social media platforms. Leading the market in severe weather coverage is a top priority. The ideal candidate is personable and has the ability to connect with viewers on-air and during public appearances. This position also calls for live reporting as needed.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in meteorology, atmospheric science, broadcast journalism or communications is required
  • Certified meteorologist is desired
  • Must possess the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Must have excellent writing, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good on-air conversational presentation required
  • This is not an entry-level position – previous on-air experience presenting weather and news information is required.
