BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Bakers were getting ready for Paczki Day, or as it’s also known, Fat Tuesday, early in the morning.
The holiday, which is a Polish tradition celebrated internationally, is being celebrated in Buffalo too.
The Broadway Market expects the holiday to be very busy as they prepare paczkis, which are traditional Polish pastries that are deep fried and contain a sweet filling. They are eaten on Fat Tuesday to mark the final day before the lenten season.
The Broadway Market opens at 8 a.m.
