BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo Sabres Head Coach Dan Bylsma says left wing Evander Kane will not play in Tuesday’s away game against the Ottawa Senators after missing practice on Monday.

Kane attended the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday night and called the Sabres to say he would miss Monday’s practice. Bylsma says Kane slept in and that he is disappointed in Kane for breaking a team rule.

In the course of 47 games with the Sabres this season, Kane has scored 16 goals and had 8 assists.

Robin Lehner will start in goal Tuesday night as the Sabres play in Kanata, Ontario at 7:30 p.m.
