Local man charged with drunken snowmobile driving

CHAUTAUQUA, N.Y. (WIVB) — While on patrol early Monday morning, police say they located a snowmobile driver operating in a dangerous fashion.

Police say they stopped Brandon L. Cessna, 35, on ST-394 in the Town of Chautauqua at about 1 a.m. Monday. After stopping him, Cessna’s name in the system showed he drove unregistered and uninsured, police say.

After testing his sobriety, police say he tested positive for driving under the influence. Upon further testing, Cessna reportedly blew a .26 blood alcohol content percentage in a breathalyzer test.

Cessna faces charges for operating a snowmobile while intoxicated and will return to court at a later date.
