Police identify victim of Sunday morning gunfire in Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A local man is dead after a fatal shooting on Buffalo’s east side.

Police responded to the 100 block of Dutton Avenue Sunday morning just before 5:30 a.m. to respond to a call of shots fired.

When on the scene, they say they located 53-year-old Michelangelo Barbour with gunshot wounds. First responders rushed Barbour to the Erie County Medical Center where he later died to his wounds.

As police continue to investigate the shooting, they’re asking any witnesses to step forward and place a confidential tip with the Buffalo Police tip line at (716) 847-2255.
