Man accused of stealing from vehicles in Depew

DEPEW, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police in Depew say they arrested an unnamed 35-year-old man in relation to suspected vehicle thefts in the area.

While patrolling overnight this past weekend, police say they noticed the man suspiciously tossing items to the ground as police cars drove by.

Police say the man became disorderly and was subsequently arrested.

During this time, authorities say they discovered a large amount of loose change and other items in his possession.

The items are believed to have been stolen from vehicles in the area of Main Street and Sawyer Avenue, along with surrounding streets.

Depew Police say anyone who thinks they had items stolen from their vehicle should call the department at (716) 683-1123 ext. 0.
