Local judge becomes first woman elected president over federal judge association

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A local woman was just elected to serve a three-year term as the President of the Association of Administrative Law Judges.

The large association encompasses 1,200 federal judges across the the U.S. who hear Social Security disability cases. Members elected Buffalo judge Marilyn Zahm to head up the large judicial system which heads up ensuring peoples

Zahm has been practicing law as a federal administrative law judge since 1994, and has served as the association’s vice president.
