Man accused of driving drunk three times over legal limit

HAMBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) — Officers say they arrested a drunken man for getting behind the wheel on Wednesday evening after receiving tips about an erratic driver.

New York State Police answered phone calls about the dangerous driver and eventually stopped Matthew W. Miller in his Chevrolet Equinox on the I-90 after they say he violated several traffic laws.

After testing Miller’s sobriety, police say they learned he drove with a .25 percent blood alcohol percentage, more than three times the legal limit.

Miller now faces charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated and multiple other vehicle and traffic violations. He’ll return to court on March 9. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
