Police investigating East Side shooting

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo Police responded to a call of a shooting on the East Side early Monday morning.

Police say it happened just after 12:30 a.m. Monday on the 100 block of Brinkman Street.

News 4 arrived at the scene around 1 a.m. to find firefighters, police and EMS officials on Texas Street, where officials say the victim, a 51-year-old man, ended up.

The victim was treated and released from ECMC. Police are looking for the shooter.

Along with that, authorities were seen investigating a van that appeared to be involved in the alleged incident. It was sitting in the middle of the road.
