(WIAT) — Bad news is on the horizon for those heading out on spring break soon: gas prices are climbing back up.
Experts at AAA say prices have jumped about 25 percent in the past month alone, although prices in western New York have continued to slowly drop.
The price hike is fueled by rebounding oil prices and refineries doing their seasonal maintenance. Unfortunately, it’s not expected to slow down anytime soon.
According to AAA, gas prices will climb another 30 to 50 cents a gallon by Memorial Day.
