Motorcyclist dies after being ejected in Niagara Falls crash

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 39-year-old Lockport man is dead following a crash in Niagara Falls on Monday night.

Officers in Niagara Falls say they rushed to the scene of the crash just before 9 p.m. at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Profit to respond to the two-vehicle crash.

Once on the scene, officers learned a motorcyclist was cast from his Suzuki in a crash and they administered first aid. First responders rushed the man to the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Loved ones have placed a small memorial to the Lockport man near the scene of his death in the form of balloons and flowers.

Investigation revealed the motorcyclist, who hasn’t yet been identified, collided while traveling south on Highland Avenue with a Crown Victoria as the driver made a left hand turn onto Profit.

Investigators continue to work to learn the cause of the crash, and if charges need to be filed.
