Tickets going fast for UB NCAA tournament game

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Fans from across western New York are expected to pack their bags and head to providence this week as March Madness is in full swing. With back to back MAC Championship titles, The University at Buffalo learned they’ll face the University of Miami for the first round.

The Buffalo Bulls will play Thursday, March 17 at 6:50 pm in Providence, Rhode Island.

If you’re planning to make a trip to the game, tickets are going fast. With limited tickets available at the university, priority will be given to UB students and blue and white fund donors.

Interested ticket buyers must fill out a ticket request form online to get tickets in the UB section, but there are guidelines. Ticket buyers have to buy the Thursday and Saturday game package which comes with a four ticket minimum.

The deadline to order tickets is March 14 at 5:00 pm.

Fans can also check out stubhub.com or ticketmaster.com.

The City of Providence is ready for UB and they’re looking forward to welcoming bulls fans.

“We’ve been preparing for March Madness for a while now and we’re thrilled to have Buffalo and all the other seven teams come to our city and experience some great basketball in Providence, Rhode Island. You’ll have great access to everything within walking distance of the facility and I just think your student athletes and fans are going to have a great time in providence,” said Martha Sheridan, President and CEO of Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau.

If fans are headed to Providence to watch the game, hotels are also filling up. Starting Thursday night, rooms range from $140 to $240 a night.
