UB’s Conner on how the Bulls match up with Miami

Bulls see connection between future and past opponents

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Willie Conner sees a connection between UB first round opponent Miami and a team the Bulls managed to beat already this season. Twice.

“We played Bowling Green [beating them twice] and they’re kind of like a mini-Miami,” Conner said Sunday night at the UB watch party. “Very guard-oriented.”

Conner’s onto something. Michael Huger is Bowling Green’s head coach. He’s a longtime assistant of Miami skipper Jim Larranaga. Perhaps the Bulls could find a way to take their success against the Falcons this year and apply it to a power conference team.
