St. Patrick’s Day weekend starts at Larkin Square

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – St. Patrick’s Day weekend is always a jam-packed couple days in Buffalo. On Saturday, parade goers will gather in the First Ward for the “Old Neighborhood” Parade at noon. Then on Sunday afternoon, another parade will send marchers down Delaware Avenue from Niagara Square to North Street.

But a few years ago, Larkin Square Director of Fun Leslie Zemsky and her staff decided to get things started on Friday night. The “Live at O’Larkinville” event is now in its fourth year. It runs tonight from 5-8pm on the heated boardwalk in the square, where visitors can enjoy live Irish music and dancing from the Clann na Cara dancers, along with St. Patrick’s Day themed refreshments and a local vendor market.
