Portion of Denver International Airport evacuated temporarily due to suspicious package

DENVER — A portion of Denver International Airport was evacuated Tuesday afternoon due to a possible security threat.

Denver police began evacuating the area around 2:30 p.m., bringing bomb squad units to investigate multiple suspicious packages.

After a full investigation, and multiple areas being closed off to the public, police say they cleared the area and there were no threats.

It’s not yet known if any flights were delayed, but the airport thanked its customers for their patience.
