Reward offered for man wanted by feds, local police

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A reward is out for a Buffalo man on the run from authorities both on the local and federal level.

Police say Christopher Carriero has a history of trouble with the law, but is currently wanted by federal authorities after violating his supervised release. He served time on escape and fraud convictions.

Officials say he’s currently on the run and is defrauding local post offices with bad checks. Buffalo Police want him in custody to charge him for forgery.

Local police working in connection with Crime Stoppers are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to Carriero’s arrest.
