BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – It’s go time at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens. The annual spring flower show is the busiest time of year at the South Buffalo attraction. It’s expected to draw several thousand visitors for this weekend’s Easter activities.
A team of two hundred volunteers helped the horticulture staff install thousands of seasonal bulbs in bright, vibrant colors that fill the various rooms of the garden. New this year, a 4H Farm full of fuzzy and feathery baby animals including bunnies, chicks, and ducks. Many families make a point of stopping by in the days leading up to Easter to take photos and visit the Easter Bunny.
“It’s very traditional for people. They come in their Easter best,” said Associate Vice President of Marketing and Visitor Experience Erin Grajek. “It’s just so much fun to see. Kids have so much fun. It’s just a great time, and very friendly family.”
