Man arrested with nearly 2,100 bags of heroin pleads guilty to dealing drugs

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A man who was arrested in 2015 with roughly 2,100 bags of heroin pleaded guilty to being a drug dealer in Erie County Court Thursday.

Erie County Sheriff’s Deputies proudly announced they destroyed 2,100 bags of heroin off the streets of Buffalo in July of 2015, saying they arrested a large heroin drug dealer in the process.

They arrested 27-year-old Dellsean Hamilton and 27-year-old Brittney Ridgeway, who lived in the homes in which police raided. Hamilton pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance. Ridgeway pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

When the two pleaded guilty, they weren’t offered a reduced charge, officials say.

They’ll return to court for sentencing on May 3. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
