Man crashes vehicle after being shot by gunfire

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Officers responded to the scene of a crash on Tuesday afternoon to treat a gunshot victim.

Buffalo Police rushed to the 100 Block of Wick Street, where they say a 20-year-old Buffalo man was struck by gunfire while driving. Soon after being struck, the driver crashed his vehicle.

First responders rushed the man to the Erie County Medical Center with serious injuries. He was listed in fair condition as of Wednesday afternoon.

A young child who was in the vehicle at the time of the crash also suffered injuries. That child was brought to Women and Children’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigation into the shooting is continuing.
