BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Workers across the east cost may soon find themselves picketing one of the largest companies in the U.S.

Officials with the CWA Union say nearly 40,000 employees will walk off the job Wednesday if an agreement isn’t reached after 10 months of bargaining with the major communications corporation.

The dispute is over issues like healthcare, offshoring jobs, wage and benefits improvements and job security for workers.

A strike would reach across a handful of states, disrupting the company’s day-to-day in a host of cities — including Buffalo.
