2 extricated from vehicle after overnight Amherst crash

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) — A driver crashed overnight in Amherst after losing control of his SUV.

Police say the 18-year-old man crashed when he was getting on the I-290 West from the I-990.

Firefighters had to extract two people from the vehicle by cutting off the roof. They were recovering from their injuries as of Thursday morning.

Witnesses say he was driving aggressively by speeding and cutting people off on the highway.
