Buffalo Police Lieutenants suspended with pay for ’embarrassing the department’

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Sources confirmed to News 4 two Buffalo Police Department Lieutenants have been suspended with pay after a public argument.

The two uniformed officers reportedly engaged in a disagreement in public, an offense that sources said embarrassed the department. Both officers are part of the D-District, which covers much of north Buffalo.

An internal affairs investigation is ongoing into the offenses. It’s not yet known how long they will remain suspended.
