Defective hydrants cause trouble for firefighters in Niagara Falls

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — A vacant house caught fire on Pierce Avenue in Niagara Falls Thursday morning.

It is not known if anyone was injured in the blaze, but the fire did cause trouble for first responders.

Two fire hydrants at the scene were not working, leading to the firefighters needing longer hoses.
