First responders conduct active shooter exercise at Hamburg school

HAMBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) — Multiple law enforcement officers and first responders will be at Frontier High School Thursday morning to conduct crisis management drills.

Authorities will test how well-prepared they are to respond an active shooter situation with a Field Training Exercise from 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

During this time, high school classes will remain in session. Many roads surrounding the Bayview Road high school will be closed while the training exercise takes place. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
