Former coach, teacher charged with rape in Tennessee

DICKSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – A former Tennessee teacher and girls’ basketball coach has been arrested on multiple charges of rape.

According to sheriff’s office, John Mullinicks Jr. worked at Creekwood High School and was placed on unpaid leave Feb. 26 by the Dickson County Board of Education after allegations arose he had inappropriate conduct with students.

He has since been charged with four counts of rape, four counts of rape by an authority figure, and solicitation of a minor.

The 46-year-old resigned from his positions on April 18 and no longer works with the school district.
