FRANKFORT, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The New York State Police has cancelled an Amber Alert after investigating a child abduction out of Herkimer County.
Police said the abduction took place around 2:20 p.m. on April 22 near West Main Street in the village of Frankfort.
Police were looking for 21-month-old Jordan D. Lints II. He is of unknown race and has brown hair and brown eyes. They are also looking for Mariah Seelbach. She is about 3-years old with brown hair and green eyes and of unknown race.
Police have listed the suspects as Alicia Seelbach, 27, and Jordan Lints, 25.
Seelbach is the children’s mother, according to police. She is described as a white female with brown hair and hazel eyes. She is about 5’4” tall and weighs about 115 pounds. Lints is described as a black male with black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 6’ tall and weighs about 203 pounds.
According to police, the suspects took the children under circumstances that officials believe put the children in danger.
On April 22, the Herkimer County Dept. of Social Services filed a petition to have custodial rights suspended. Police said Seelbach left Frankfort with the children prior to social services being able to secure them.
The Amber Alert was cancelled just before 11:30 p.m. Thursday.
