BUFFALO N.Y. (WIVB) – On game days, Immaculata senior softball player Alyssa Choboy is busy. From school to club meetings to batting practice, the game and then work until 11:00 p.m…it’s hard to wonder how she maintains a GPA just below 100.
“I don’t even know,” Choboy said with a laugh. “I do a lot of stuff, I’m constantly busy and I think that’s what helps me do stuff.”
The Bears captain, who is also this year’s valedictorian at Immaculata, says she strives to make others better when she recognizes mistakes.
“I also like to be fun and like, not scary, which I don’t think I am, I hope not!”
Though her resume includes the National Honors Society, club memberships, student treasurer and an academic scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh , because her impending graduation coincides with the unfortunate closing of Immaculata she wants to keep adding to that long list.
“The school closing makes me want to keep doing everything I can, get as involved as I can and doing things I’ve never done before just because it’s closing,” Choboy said. “I’ve just had so much fun with my coaches and teammates and everything, it’s made high school such a great experience.”
