Opening day at the Lancaster National Speedway

LANCASTER, N.Y. (WIVB) – Tires were burning at the Lancaster National Speedway.

Saturday was opening day at the track.

Tim Packman, track president, tells News 4 they made a few changes that are getting a great response from fans.

“In the off season we made a lot of improvements to the track,” said Packman. “Concrete on the front stretch. 12,000 square feet of paving on the back area. We did turn one, we did turn three. We put improvements all over this place and in the off season we communicated with our drivers and got a bunch of new partners and new sponsors.”
