20 year-old arrested following early morning East Side shooting

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police officers kept a wide area blocked off as they looked for evidence after a call of a person shot Saturday morning not far from East Ferry Street and Jefferson Avenue.

Officers were called to Verplanck Street around 3:00 a.m., after someone reported a person shot. Detectives say a 23 year-old Buffalo male was struck by gunfire during some type of domestic dispute. He was transported to ECMC and is listed in fair condition.

Buffalo Police arrested 20 year-old Joshua Adorno of Buffalo in connection with the shooting. He has been charged with assault 1st,  criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of cocaine.
