Police looking for suspect after two teens stabbed in larger altercation

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 16-year-old girl and 15-year-old boy were stabbed Wednesday at 8:20 p.m. as night fell in Buffalo on the city’s east side.

Buffalo Police responded to the area of Walden and Goodyear where sources say an altercation broke out between a group of girls. The two who suffered stab wounds were rushed to the Erie County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Following treatment, the two were released from the hospital.

The suspect in the stabbings fled the scene and has not been captured.

Officers remained on the scene into the evening investigating the incident. Anyone with information on the stabbings is asked to call or text the police force’s confidential tip line at (716) 847-2255.
