Kiss 98.5 holds 13th annual radiothon for Women & Children’s hospital

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – It’s a Mother’s Day weekend tradition at Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. Janet Snyder, Nicholas Picholas, and the Kiss 98.5 team move in for a day to host their annual Kiss Cares for Kids Radiothon.

The event raises hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy life saving medical equipment each year. This time, the funds raised will pay for crash carts and defibrillators for the new John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital, set to open in fall of 2017.

When people call to become a “Miracle Maker,” they pledge $15 each month towards the cause for a period of a year. The radiothon ran through 6 p.m. Friday, raising $217,764. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
