WALES, N.Y. (WIVB) — A registered sex offender with a history of violent sexual and physical crimes faces new charges involving a teen.
Prosecutors say 29-year-old Dejay Burdic, a South Wales resident, faces charges of second-degree criminal sexual act and endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly forcing a 15-year-old to perform oral sex.
Burdic, who is a level three sex offender, has been convicted of second-degree attempted rape — also involving a 15-year-old. He also has been convicted of sexual misconduct and second-degree assault.
He’s served time in prison, however if convicted of the new charges against him, Burdic faces between 10 and 25 years behind bars along with post release supervision.
As his trial proceeds, Burdic has been remanded to jail without bail.
