Naloxone training session to be held in Chautauqua County

FREWSBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) — Residents of Chautauqua County will get a chance to learn how to use naloxone at an opioid overdose response training session in Frewsburg next week.

The free session is open to the public and will teach residents how to use naloxone, or as it also goes by, Narcan, in the case of an opioid overdose.

Skills taught by the Strength of Support (S.O.S.) group will include recognizing an overdose, noticing risk factors, rescue breathing and naloxone administration.

The session will take place at the Relief Zone at 5 Frew Run St. in Frewsburg on May 16 at 6 p.m.
