Officials to close Erie Co. roads for Marine training this weekend

EAST CONCORD, N.Y. (WIVB) — The United States Marine Corps has announced that it will be holding a three-day training exercise in Erie County that will block off roads in the area.

Officials report that the area, located in East Concord off of Genesee Road near both Route 219 and Route 16, will be closed to the general public from Friday, May 13, through Sunday, May 15. The specific roads were not addressed by officials.

Authorities say that the property is owned by the county’s Department of Parks, Recreation, and Forestry, and will be used for various activities throughout the year.
