Albion man accused of driving more than 3.5 times over legal alcohol limit near Watertown

TOWN OF PINCKNEY, N.Y. (WIVB) — New York State Police arrested an Orleans County man they say was driving very drunk near Watertown Tuesday.

Troopers stopped Albion resident Nicholas Clemons, 31, in the Town of Pinckney after receiving a report of a vehicle off the roadway.

After arriving at the scene, officers conducted field sobriety tests after suspecting Clemons of drinking. This led to his arrest on a charge of aggravated DWI.

While processing Clemons at the State Police barracks in Lowville, they say his blood-alcohol content measured out to .29 percent. That is more than 3.5 times over the legal limit for alcohol.

Clemons will appear in court at a later date.
