Outer Harbor kicks off their seasonal activities

Buffalo, N.Y. (WIVB) — Starting tomorrow, the Outer Harbor will be packed with people and alive with activities. There’s a beer garden, serving local brews and the fanstatic view. Kayak and bike rentals are available. The Queen City Ferry will be opening Friday at 11 a.m. We were there as they were putting on the finishing touches, preparing for the start of the new season. The launch is brand new. Thousands of people come to the Outer Harbor by way of the ferry, taking it to and from downtown Buffalo. Many people walking out here today stopped and noticed how much activity is already going on.

Just about every weekend the open area at Wilkerson’s Point will host something new and different. This weekend, the Architechts of Air exhibit is there. It’s an inflatable sculpture. This one is new and has’nt even been to the United States prior to the trip to Buffalo.

Activities start between 9 and 11 each morning and wrap up at sunset.
