Bandits drop Game 1 of Champion’s Cup

The Saskatchewan Rush win game one 11-9.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – After an eight year drought the Champion’s Cup finals returned to the Queen City on Saturday night as the Bandits faced the Rush in game one of the best-of-three series.

The Bandits trailed 3-0 early on before overcoming the deficit and rallying to take a 4-3 lead. The teams were tied at six at halftime.

The Rush pulled ahead late in the fourth quarter, en route to a 11-9 win.

Dhane Smith finished the game with a hat trick.

Game two will take place on Saturday June, 4th in Saskatchewan.
