ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. (WIVB) — Repeated success by the St. Bonaventure Bonnies basketball teams may have led to energetic philanthropy, earning the teams — and clamoring fans — a new video board.

Officials say the new video board comes courtesy of a large donation from 1966 alumnus and trustee Albert Horton. The large screen will hang in the center of the Reilly Center and boast an impressive 8.19-foot-high and 13.23-foot-wide information center for displays, live video and replays.

Fans will get to enjoy the new board in the upcoming basketball season, with installation slated for late June. Officials say New York company ANC Sports will construct the board.

Officials say the gift allows the Catholic University a stepping stone to give the raucous St. Bonaventure basketball fans much-needed modernization upgrades. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
