BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A test drive on Main St. ended up with an SUV staying off the lot, but for a different reason than what was hoped for.
Deputies with the Erie County Sheriff’s Office say a couple was on Main St. testing out a vehicle with a car salesman when the vehicle was struck by an impaired driver.
After the collision, the female SUV passenger and the car salesman were taken to Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The SUV’s driver was checked out by medical personnel and released at the scene.
The driver who hit them, Courtney Loveless, 27, showed signs of impaired driving, according to deputies. She was evaluated and subsequently accused of driving while on drugs.
This led to a felony driving while impaired by drugs charge against her. Loveless was previously convicted of driving while on drugs in Cheektowaga.
In addition to this charge, she also had an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of Wyoming County.
