Man who played original “Hulk” sworn in as honorary officer in Niagara Falls

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — The man who played an iconic muscle-bound television and movie hero in the 70s, 80s and 90s was in Niagara Falls Friday morning to receive a special honor.

Lou Ferrigno, known as the original “Incredible Hulk,” was sworn in as a Niagara Falls honorary officer on both the American and Canadian sides.

Ferrigno was honored for his anti-bullying campaign. After the ceremony, Ferrigno presented his anti-bullying message to students at Harry F. Abate Elementary School on the American side.

Ferrigno will be in Niagara Falls for the rest of the weekend at the Niagara Falls Comic-Con, which is being held at the Scotiabank Convention Centre.
