GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. (WIVB) — Hundreds took to the basketball court Saturday the popular Gus Macker 3-on-3 basketball tournament.
For the second year in a row the tournament stayed on Grand Island.
The tournament was held in Buffalo for 22 years before moving to Darien Lake, then Grand Island.
The event is a fundraiser for the Buffalo Police Athletic League.
The tournament will start again Sunday at 8:30 a.m., followed by an awards ceremony at 10 a.m.
The day ends at 4 p.m. with special event contests.
Since 1987, the Gus Macker tour has expanded, holding a total of 972 tournaments with over 2.2 million players around the country.
