BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The family of murdered 42-year-old Antoin Vance received justice on Tuesday when Buffalo 20-year-old Leonard “Pooter” Robinson pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.
Prosecutors say Robinson fired shots upon Vance inside his Purdy Street home on Nov. 29, 2015, following an argument over money. Robinson also shot 24-year-old Dominique Jackson, who had nothing to do with the argument.
Vance died from his injuries as Robinson drove recklessly away from the scene. While on the run, he drove his car off of Humboldt Parkway, crashing upside down onto the Kensington Expressway.
Robinson made it away from that crash as well, with police reporting he made it all the way to Los Angeles, California before U.S. Marshals arrested him.
On Tuesday, police say Robinson pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree murder before judge Penny Wolfgang.
When he’s sentenced on July 20, Robinson faces a maximum sentence of 18 years-to-life behind bars.
