Bystander films shots being fired at Dallas Love Field

DALLAS (AP) — Television footage shows a police presence at Dallas Love Field airport following reports of shots fired outside a baggage claim.

Video posted on an Instagram account early Friday afternoon shows people scattering outside a baggage claim door as an officer in a yellow vest trains a gun toward a baggage claim entrance. At least eight gunshots can be heard as a man’s voice repeatedly yells “stand down!” A woman can be heard screaming.

Authorities said the incident began as a domestic disturbance between a woman and a man believed to be her children’s father. He was believed to be attacking her with a rock.

A nearby officer intervened and was rushed by the man. The officer began firing, hitting the man.
